Attended but dropped out of the Design Department at Tokyo Metropolitan Technical High School and moved on to design paper illustrations, won the 27th Bungeishunju Manga Award (文藝春秋漫画賞) and did graphic design and illustration for books of various genres including,  Pandora's Box,  in 1982 that featured 3D illustration and picture books such as this one

Tsunehiro Kobayashi (小林庸浩)

Born in Tokyo in 1943

Photographer known for working with taking photography of crafts and culture such as Asia no Nuno (Asian Fabrics) in 1999, won the (40th) Imperial Prize and Japan Art Academy Prize, limited information due to potential difficulties in translation of the name

This picture book features a bright red cover that centers a white plate holding multicolored and sized buttons with text in Japanese that reads right to left/top to bottom, with the title being highlighted in a yellow font.
